I do shoot, and I do my own firearms maintenance, and this set is found in the Shooting/ Hunting section of the Fix It Sticks store. However, I cycle (like a turtle rampaging through peanut butter), and more importantly, I make my living as a Field Service Tecnician, and a good tool that can save me space, and make my usually 60# tool kit easier to hoist is a good thing. I'm going to quote the vendor now... "The Fix It Sticks Replaceable Edition Shooting / Hunting offers unmatched portability, functionality and versatility. Two Fix It Sticks (which combine to form a T-Handle) and 16 bits are held in a molded bracket for portability / storage. Extra room on each end can hold two additional bits. Replaceable Set includes two sticks, bracket, and 16 different bits: 2.5mm hex, 3mm hex, 4mm hex, 5mm hex, T-10, T-15, T-20, T-25, T-30, 1/8" Hex, 5/64" Hex, 3/32" Hex, 5/32" Hex, 3/16" Hex, Slotted #5, Phillips #1. The ultimate maintenance tool. Take the shop tool experience with you on the road. High quality steel construction (can withstand 40Nm of Torque) Compact, Durable, Accepts any standard 1/4" bit. Weight: 116 grams." My set arrived with bits that are hard chromed. I see that Fix It Sticks has both chromed, and bead blasted finish bits in inventory, so you may recieve either. After a month of use on the job, I haven't had time to wear the chrome back, I'll get there eventually. The chrome should make them easier to degrease, but time will tell. In any event, the bits can be replaced as needed, or as needs change. The bracket is a moderate durometer, not hard, not quite rubbery. The tension is enough to make bit removal a matter of pushing through, left to right as opposed to lifting out. For my needs, I have added a #2 Philips, and a smaller bladed standard bit. I don't use Torx fasteners often, except for optics, so those I keep to the side with my torque limiters, and added a few other extra standard bits to 1/4", a 1/4 hex to 1/4" square drive adapter for sockets, and metric bits to 6mm added to the kit to augment my more usual daily need. The point is, it can be what you need, and no more. In the photo, you see the Fix It Sticks kit, along with some of the high weight/ high dollar tools I can leave at the shop by utilizing it. The shop tool experience made portable indeed. I strongly suggest you consider this as a well made way to streamline any tool kit, not just for your shooting box.
