Bought the long range kit and added this for bolt cleaning a little slippery but great in the field if you have any bolt issues

Great product and simple to use
Simple and small so packs in my existing FixItSticks kitbag so I can have it with me all the time. Really good to get the bolt apart and clean it. Now is almost unbelievably smooth. Not quite as easy to use as I expected only in that it doesn't stay locked into the T-handle. Unlike other bits, it tends to fall out, so took some extra finagling to get the striker assembly spun totally off the bolt body, and the handle and/or adapter fell away several times.

Not universal for all rem700 platforms. Shoulda done more research on my parts. Just sucks and disappointed for expensive tools.

Works well with 700. Clones are case by case. Bergara B14 bolt does not allow for a full extension of the device for leverage, but it is still helpful in firing pin and spring removal.

Upon receiving the bolt opener of course I had to try it out. Worked to my expectations. By removing the firing pin assembly and the ejector, this piece of kit allowed me to get the proper bullet touch to the lands and will allow me to get the proper shoulder bump after fire forming, all with a smaller foot print in the tool kit.

I do not have a vice, so it was difficult in my hands. Hard to use but it worked fine!
After struggling for years taking Remington bolts apart I thought I would give this thing a chance. Well, I literally had the firing pin out in 10 seconds and it might have been closer to 5. Putting the pin back in I struggled with a bit. The tool seemed to slip a little and it did put a small mark on the shroud. I think with a little practice it will go smoother. If you can open a bottle of beer this thing will feel very familiar in your hands. Would I buy it again? Hell yeah!

This does work for a Christensen Arms bolt however, it is a bit tight to get positioned. The opening needs to be enlarged to allow use on similar bolts from different manufactures This should be packaged with a tool to allow for more leverage to be applied. It does not lock in position and makes it difficult to hold while unscrewing the firing pin from the bolt.
Small, easy to pack in the tool kit. Works perfectly. Worth it.

For years I have been using the edge of the workbench to hold the firing pin back to unscrew the firing pin assembly from the bolt of my Remington 700's (not usually with great success, and frequently chewing up the edge of my workbench). The first time I used the bolt opener it took about 10 seconds to disassemble the bolt and was as intuitive as using a can opener. It does work best if you hold the firing pin assembly still and spin the bolt body. Wish someone would have come up with this years ago!!
What an incredible tool! It makes disassembling a Remington 700 bolt as simple as removing a nut from a machine bolt. My only question is: where have you been all my shooting life? A great tool at a great price.
I have two work benches in my home. One is a dedicated gun bench in the basement, The other is in the garage for household chores. That is where all my sockets and drives are, so to use the Remington Bolt Opener I had to go to the garage to get a drive and socket every time. When I needed it in the garage it was always in the basement. Also, it is another thing to remember when taking the opener, socket and drive shooting and hunting. It was better just to buy another socket and drive just for the opener. I think you should offer the opener as a kit with socket and drive. That way it could easily be kept in my gun toolbox while on outdoor trips. It is more convenient to use then when in a kit.
If you shoot a Remington 700 this tool is indispensable.
the item is great once I figured out how to use it. Did all my Remingtons with it. Really easy to work. Could use a couple of straight pieces as guides along the sides to hold it straight. Other than that I think it is great!
