SmallRig makes some great components to fabricate a new video rig but I would never use SmallRigs’ tools. The Fix It Sticks Bits (in their Desktop Bit Pack) always fits tight and in the working torque of the fasteners they never fail nor do them round out the fasteners. I have applied a strong set of magnets to the bottom side of the bench top block and that keeps all bits secured full time as well as nicely weighting the stand which sits out full time. This job will take a while so using a Wera 416 RA Ratchet T-Handle and Fix It Sticks Torque limiter (40 in-Lbf) ensures this job always is complete and secure behind me as I progress.
