I have been pretty happy with fix it sticks. But I had an issue with one of the add on bit packs. On the first use the #4 blade screw bit it broke. It was not with that much pressure. I had another driver with this bit size I used to finish tightening the screw, I will just buy my bits someplace else like Ace Hardware from now on since Fixit does not warranty the bits and I have never had this type of bit break until now. Probably A China made bit due to how brittle it was.
Fixit Sticks are an absolute must for anyone looking to make their time working on a firearm in their gun collection go faster, easier and far less frustrating than searching for that one Allen wrench you can never find for that one attachment that you hardly ever touch but now you NEED a wrench for. Once you find the right size bit(s) to fit your application, you’ll wonder why you suffered all that time without FIXIT STICKS.
From the moment I picked up my first fix-it took I was completely blown away with the quality and honestly the pure sexiness of the tools themselves. I will probably end up buying every single tool they make a little at a time. I started with the All-In-One multi-torque driver kit and the duo case. I wish I would have seen the long range kit before I purchased the one I did. But unfortunately I didn’t, but that’s ok I will just have to purchase each piece separately. I just hope to be able to get the case that the long range kit comes in. Because this Duo is already getting pretty full. I started off with the all on one kit and just supplemented the missing bits with some bit out of one of those 108 piece kit type deals you get at the auto part store. But then one of the smaller bits got ruined by a bolt on my ACC chassis so I decided to buy al the missing bits from fix-it sticks. And I could t be happier. Not to mention it looks so much better having all the same appearance bits. Im a sucker for uniformity and neatness, and they looks awesome. There are just a couple of bits that yinz just don’t have so I had to keep the crappy ones. So im hoping yinz come out with them soon. And please sell me a long range case please please please. Lol. Otherwise I love these tools and will be keeping them and foresee being able to pass them on to my kids.
My experience was simple, I was in a rush so I ordered bits from Amazon for overnight delivery and you can guess where they were made! The Amazon bits arrived the next afternoon. I immediately took them to my gun bench to complete my task… AND, BOTH BITS BROKE ON FIRST USE!! The T8 tip and T9 tip broke off while being torqued to 15 inch pounds!! I immediately ordered the Bit Pack from Fix It Sticks (as I should have done to start with). The Bit Pack arrived and the tasks were completed!! Live and learn… And order from Fix It Sticks!!
Excellent choice of firearm tools. I have previously purchased pretty much all the Wheeler tools, now I've got pretty much all the Fix It's as well, not much I can't do!
Bought the expansion but pack to go along with the works kit. I deeply regret it. They are not that great. I am a gun smith and I thought for the high price tag would have come with high quality. I’ve broke 4 bits after only a week of using them. A Torx bit shouldn’t twist under 15in lbs of tourque.
Ok. Let me start off by saying I am a professional gunsmith. I work on guns for a living, and I have invested thousands of dollars in tools. I really liked the way this product looked and it had fairly decent reviews. So I ordered a bunch of stuff to go in my range bag. But from first hand experience the quality of these bits are garbage. Not even 2 hours after I opened the package I used one of the Torx bits. A T8 to be exact. Barely applying 15 inch lbs and it snapped off in the screw head. I’ve had harbor freight tools last longer.
Out-freaking standing customer service. I’ve bought a few things from you guys, including a torque limiter, which I thought was defective (turns out I was tightening the screw enough). At any rate, someone sent me a second one free of charge and genuinely followed up with me. That said, I am buying ALL my gunsmithing tools from you guys!
I wish it was more clear that this magnetic/velcro piece is case specific and does not fit on the smaller kit. Or I would recommend a velcro back to all the cases so the magnetic patch is universal!
