This bit did not even survive the first battery cap removal. The tip of the bit broke and rotated in the cap upon the first turn.

Use our aluminum battery cap tool to change batteries without chewing up the cap. Machined from aluminum with a steel insert for magneting drivers. Works with any standard 1/4" driver, including Fix It Sticks tools or our T-Way Wrench (not included). Torque not to exceed 10 in-lbs.

Battery cap tool deformed after one test use. Don’t think I will be buying any of these bits again.
It does great job, flawless.
Stripped aluminum tip attempting to tighten a Romeo 1 battery cap. Per Sig Sauer, battery cap must be tightened to 10-12 lb-in of torque. Used a Wheeler torque wrench set not to exceed this setting and the tip stripped right around 10 lb-in.
Great addition to my fix it stick go kit, perfect fit for the Romeo 1 pro battery cap. Love it
Still had high hopes for this battery cap bit after reading some of the reviews but stay away from this tool. Just using it for simple and light duty windage & elevation adjustments on some Holosun optics, it is starting to chip on the edges and fail. Very cool design but the aluminum material is not anywhere close to the grade it should be and the price you pay for this bit. Upgrade to some aircraft grade aluminum, thicken the blade a little and round the blade edges a little and you’ll start getting some good reviews on this one Fix It Sticks. The bronze scraper and the AR extractor tool I purchased along with this bit are top notch but this bit is garbage.

I have not found my use for this yet. When I do, it will function as intended.

Some folks might complain about the cost, just remember you buy quality the first time actually saves you time and money because you are not having to replace inferior products or tools. Additional, Fix-It-Sticks customer service is top of the line too, they are the standard other companies should strive to attain.
Great tool to not scrape up battery cap.
Used this for the first time on a SIG Sauer Romeo MDC. The corners chipped and the cap did not budge. Now the tool is useless. Ended up having to use a standard full sized flathead.

The tool itself fits really well onto the battery cap. However, when torquing the battery cap to the recommended torque, the tool head (flat area that goes into the battery cap) sheared off. Perhaps the Aluminum was too soft for the task.

Quality is 100 percent excellent,if it was just about 50 percent wider you could use it on battery covers for rmr style red dots and why I ordered it. But it'll work great on anything else.
All of my battery caps on my rifles have slots about the thickness of a dime-large slots really. This tool is so tiny. Wonder what size it’s made for? Looks like a small screwdriver. But I don’t have slots this small.
These things work flawlessly. There is no marring on the battery caps, which are aluminum.

A great idea to prevent damage to battery compartments and other adjustments on sights, lights and mounts. I carry one in my range bag and one on the bench.
